Privacy and Compliance Coordinator
Sydney | Melbourne | Brisbane | Hybrid Work Model | Competitive base + super + benefits
We are not your typical group security team. We are collaborative, curious and clear thinking, and we are looking for a Privacy and Compliance Coordinator to support the privacy, governance and compliance programs that keep Orro accountable to its customers and regulators. You do not need a cyber security background for this one. If you write exceptionally well, organise information better than most, and want to build a career across privacy, information security and compliance, this is a rare way in.
About Orro
We're an Australian success story, now close to 500 people strong, delivering secure, end to end digital solutions across cloud, collaboration, cyber security, data services and network infrastructure, all backed by over 20 years of experience. Trusted by some of Australia's biggest brands, Orro leads the way in designing, building and operating digital infrastructure that delivers greater efficiency, agility, performance and resilience. Our solutions take the stress out of tech for more than 400 businesses and over 20 million Australians every single day.
Our mission? To create "future now" solutions making it faster, simpler and safer for people to access, store and share information, wherever they are and whoever they're with. But more than that, we know that real impact comes from connecting people, not just machines. That's why we take the time to understand our clients; how they work, what matters to them, and where they're headed so we can deliver not just what they need today, but what they'll need next.
With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth, and teams across New Zealand, the Philippines and the UK, Orro is known for delivering future ready solutions, backed by deep expertise, genuine human insight and lasting partnerships.
What You'll Be Doing
This role sits at the centre of how Orro documents and evidences its privacy and information security commitments. You will support the documentation, registers and assurance activities that underpin our Information Security Management System, our ISO 27001 certification and our privacy obligations, working across People and Culture, Legal, IT, Finance and the wider business.
Much of the work is writing, taking business and technical input and turning it into policies, procedures and reports that people can actually follow. You will sit alongside experienced security, privacy and governance professionals who will build your knowledge as you go, and you will pick up broad exposure to risk management, third party governance and customer assurance along the way. The role runs standard business hours with no on call requirement, and involves occasional interstate or overseas travel for audits, training or team collaboration.
Draft, review and maintain policies, procedures, standards, work instructions and reports that turn complex requirements into clear, practical guidance
Support privacy activities across the business, from privacy documentation and assessments to data processing and third party requirements
Support Orro's Information Security Management System and ISO 27001 certification, including preparation for internal and external audits
Maintain registers, evidence repositories and document libraries so governance records stay accurate, current and ready for assessment
Work directly with Group Security, People and Culture, Legal, IT and technical teams to gather input and translate it into professional documentation
What You'll Bring
The Essentials
Exceptional written English, with a demonstrated ability to draft clear, accurate and professional business documentation
Strong document management, formatting and organisational skills, backed by exceptional attention to detail
Ability to review and interpret information from multiple sources and translate it into clear policies, procedures and reports
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working across different teams and levels of an organisation
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Even if you don't tick every box, don't let that hold you back. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
